Short week news

BC moved up in both polls. We are 19th in the AP poll and 18th in the coaches’ poll. The ACC had a strong showing in both polls. BC also broke into SI.com’s ballot.

Florida State moved up too but Heisman Pundit is not a believer. I still think the ‘Noles’ strengths play to our weaknesses. This interesting match-up and our ACC debut will have a national audience. The night game and ESPN cameras will only heighten the environment on the 17th. Expect especially manic reactions from the crowd. If something good happens early = mania. Mistake early = drunken, dejected silence.

In alumni news, Derric Rossy’s unexpected boxing career continues and Paul Peterson is looking for work. In an interview last week Paul mentioned trying to catch on with an Arena team. I hope he gets his shot.
