Kuechly ROY? and other links

As his tackles pile up, many NFL pundits are realizing that Luke Kuechly should win the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year award. Carolina is out of the spotlight, but if Luke keeps up this pace, he will lead the league in tackles.

The Football team handed out their awards the other night. Emmett Cleary won the Scanlan Award and Amidon was named MVP. Congratulations to them and let's hope our next football banquet comes next January after a bowl win.

Here is more on Jags where his friend and new boss specifically deal with his departure from BC.

BC offered a scholarship to Florida Safety Darrion Owens

As a big Falcons fan, I drove up to Charlotte last Sunday to watch the Falcons-Panthers game. As bitter as the day was, it was nostalgic to see Kuechly making plays from sideline to sideline in full Beast Mode. He even picked Tony Gonazalez up and threw him down when T.G. tried to block him on a run play. After every tackle, the stadium screams "Luuuuke."

I'd vote for him.

Did anyone see the deadspin college shameday entry about us and this stat?:

"In the entirety of the 2012 season, there were 567 instances in which a team recorded seven sacks or more in a game. The teams that did this ran the gamut, from Florida Atlantic to Notre Dame. Boston College, however, finished with only six sacks—all year."

That's pretty bad.
