BC brings back the Beanpot!

Alex Tuch's overtime winner (below) gave BC its 20th Beanpot. OT can go in such crazy directions, I am just glad BC wrapped it up in the extra time. Let's hope this serves as another one of York's springboards to bigger hardware.

Even just following on Twitter gave me palpitations. Thought someone from the winning team should have won MVP, but I wasn't there. Maguire certainly had a terrific game.

York is a winner. Kelly with soccer has the same virus. The glass is half full. Football and basketball are a mess. Unfortunately, they are the money makers.

Gotta give credit where credit is due. Outstanding win!
What a Beanpot run for this coach/team/program. Hopefully the first of several trophies this season. Proud to be an Eagle!

I saw my first BC hockey game freshman year (64-65). My roommate, Tom Reilly, dragged me out in the cold to McHugh forum. I've been hooked on BC hockey every since and fortunate enough to have listened to or watched most of the BC Beanpot games over the years.

It never hurt that Jerry York, who was one year ahead of me, was one of the nicest guys ever to walk on the BC campus.

Winning the Beanpot is wonderful...winning in overtime against BU is priceless!!

And the women shut out NU 7-0 to win the Beanpot. 5 goals in the third. NU has lost 5 games this year. 3 to BC.

Geez, Lenny, you're even older than I am! (BC '74) ;) I miss BC hockey games desperately, especially any win over BU.
