Graves to St. Louis and other links

We hardly knew ya, Ty Graves. As BC announced last week, Graves is leaving the program. Now we know he is headed to St. Louis. Maybe he will get the minutes and starts he wants there.

Hockey finished 3rd in the Three Rivers Classic.

The story of former BC guy Miles Wood history with Alex Ovechkin is going viral.

The Chargers are activating Andre Williams.

@ATL..

Any word on what the "offensive changes" Eagle Action is ruminating about on their site?

It seems like Daz spouts this nonsense every year, but nothing every changes...

About Graves.

I was up late the other night and saw Joe Rahon playing for St. Mary's. He has gone on to an important role with them as part of a winning program, (11-1) so far, as they rolled over LMU. St. Mary's continues its successful recruiting in Australia, with as many as seven (7) player from Oz.

I suspect we'll miss Graves, when it comes time to handle the ball against the press, something BC seems unable to do.

Why do we always have trouble against the press and pressure in general?

Its been a long time since BC used any kind of press to good effect. I imagine that makes it difficult to practice against. Our coaches don't use it. They really aren't prepared to defeat it in any way other than bringing an extra guy into the back court.

Did you ever notice that BC never seems to look up to beat the press with the long pass? Not since the days of Billy Evans.

Oh, how I'd like to see us play "run & shoot" with full out pressing defense!! "40 minutes of Hell" would be great to watch and produce plenty of offense from turnovers. Heck, I 'd like to see Paul Westhead's "System"; but, outside of Grinnel (if that 40-year coach is still there), nobody uses it these days. Seeing LMU play the other night made me think back to Hank Gathers and 120 points a game.....

Syracuse will press the rest of the game - 13 minutes.

Already one turnover with Bowman on the bench.

Go BC

Great effort and 3-point shooting by BC....commentators said BC spent couple of hours practicing bringing ball up against press before during shoot around. They were mostly successful in second half...even threw one floor length pass for bucket.

Congratulations to all! Keep it up.
